Galaxy VPN is a free VPN that is available on both the Apples iOS store and the Google Play Store. At the time of this post, it featured an average rating of 4.7 with just under 60,000 reviews. The app’s developer is listed as BLUE REV SOAR TECHNOLOGY LIMITED which is registered in Hong Kong. Their privacy policy is extremely vague and is hosted in a Google Document. The app contains so many advertisements and analytics scripts that the app should essentially be considered spyware. Even worse, the app leaks IPs. The app leaked my ISP’s local DNS servers and the WebRTC test leaked my residential IP. For users with concerns about safety and security this is major red flag and means the app should not be used under any circumstances.
